Dr. Maria Stogioglou

DVM

At a very young age, Dr. Maria Stogioglou knew she wanted to be a veterinarian. She has always been passionate about animals, and her parents being human physicians sparked her passion for medicine early in life.

Originally from Greece, her family immigrated to America when she was a young child. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Western Washington University in 2019. She graduated in May 2023 from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine with Phi Zeta honors, finishing in the top 10% of her class. She also earned her Veterinary Business Management Association Business Certificate with Honors. Dr. Stogioglou has special interests in oncology, internal medicine, neurology, cardiology, and One Health. However, she is passionate about all aspects of veterinary medicine and constantly looking to learn more.

She fell in love with Chicago while visiting during her clinical year and decided to move here with her sweet, playful Bengal, Circe. When not at work, she loves spending time with family and friends, exploring the city, attending live music shows, traveling, and staying active (horseback riding, yoga, skiing, hiking, and more!). She is excited to be part of the fantastic team at MetroVet, build strong patient/client relationships, and serve the community!
